Ban on gay marriage lifted in Michigan Recap

During the appeal process for DeBoer v Snyder, a stay has been issued so that no further same-sex marriages can take place in Michigan.
In addition, Governor Snyder has declared that the 300 same-sex couples that got married on March 22 before the stay was issued would not be recognized by the state.
However, the federal government will recognize same-sex couples in Michigan.
Advertising freshman Meghan Rozman of Michigan State University said that the 300 couples not being recognized by the state have been revoked of their human rights.

“I feel bad for the couples that got married and they’re no longer recognized because they were probably really excited to get married in the first place. That they’re not recognized, it kind of takes a way a part of  human right,” Rozman said.

In March, a federal judge lifted the ban on gay marriage in Michigan.
During the window of opportunity before an appeal could be processed on the ruling, about 300 gay couples married in Michigan.
The ruling on DeBoer vSnyder declared that the adoption and marriage equality policies unconstitutional.
While university students are, for the most part, not quite ready for marriage, some said that they were happy for the ban to be lifted.
Supply chain management freshman Ji Wook Kim of Michigan State University said that it was good that the ban got lifted.

“Out of the bans that have been lifted or any legislations that have passed in the couple past years, I think this is the most meaningful and  useful one that they’ve done,” Kim said.

Vemma Nutrition Recap

Time and passion are required for pretty much any pursuit, and Vemma Nutrition is no different.

Luke Hessler, a Vemma Nutrition associate in East Lansing, has spent several years building networks and makes six figures a year, according to his friend and roommate David Tucker. Hessler recently went on a trip to Europe to spread Vemma Nutrition to foreign markets.

With hope and determination, arts and humanities freshman Karmel Ussery and mechanical engineering freshman Theodore Turner expressed that they were interested in the potential business skills and social networking opportunities that Vemma Nutrition has to offer them if they sell the company's energy drinks.

There is money to be made in the company to be sure, but only those who put a lot of time into what they’re doing are going to reap the greatest rewards, according to Vemma’s website.

Vemma Nutrition Preview

Vemma Nutrition has a reputation on MSU's campus as a scam. The fact that students earn money from the sales of people that they have recruited is a concerning factor in its potential for a pyramid scheme.

However, that isn't disheartening some students, like arts and humanities freshman Karmel Ussery and mechanical engineering freshman Theodore Turner.

Ussery and Turner attended an informational meeting in room 116 Natural Sciences Building on March 31. The meeting featured appearances from Vemma Nutrition hot-shots at MSU David Tucker and Takudzwa Kubvoruno.

Tucker and Kubvoruno have earned high-up positions in the company and can testify to the fact that there is money to be made with Vemma Nutrition.

The meeting was geared towards newcomers such as Ussery and Turner, and encouraged students to try the company out and get an opportunity to gain business and entrepreneurial skills through the company.

To see a video of Ussery and Turner's thoughts on Vemma Nutrition before the meeting, here you go.
